Uneven height with Bilstein
My shop installed my Bilstein PSS and we're having a problem. The front passenger side is at least 3/4" higher than the driver side at the default setting and I can't get this corner low enough to match the front driver side. There's currently a 2.5 finger gap. The rear passenger side is also higher than the rear driver side, but not as bad.
We've disassembled and reinstalled the coilovers multiple times. The sway bars are not connected. The part numbers are all correct. I never had this problem with my last 2 sets of coilovers. This shop does S2000 work all the time and has never seen this problem.
What might be the problem?
Thanks

Bilstein is in the damper business and whoever they get their springs from shouldn't be in the spring business.
You most likely have a bad spring, measure the free length of your springs at full droop or off of the damper.
Mine were roughly 7 3/4" for the main springs.

The springs are all the right part numbers and equal length side to side. I still may have a bad spring, though. I guess the way we could tell is to swap front springs and see if the problem stays or changes sides. If it stays, maybe I have a bad damper.
Blacktrax is helping me install these. They do coilover installations all the time so I suspect they're preloading the bushing correctly.
Thanks for the insight. We're waiting for Bilstein to call us back.

We were just offered a set of used Bilstein springs to try out if you're interested. If the springs are bad at least you have a set to ride on while you send the bad ones to Bilstein for warranty. Another option would be to run an alternative spring from a manufacturer who specializes in springs (Eibach, Swift, Hyperco etc).. We'll get this resolved for you.

I believe the only aftermarket spring that can be used are coil springs from swift since they offer a 70mm id which is identical to the bilsteins. Hyperco does have a 70mmid spring but the length is much longer than the oem bilstein springs.
^^A coilover should not have to be adjusted that much to compensate for uneven ride height unless the crossweights were extremely off which is unlikely, his previous setups were never this off height wise and I believe he was on hks dampers before.
