S2000 CR Club Racer EditionCR stands for "club racer," conjuring up the good old days when guys drove their sports cars to the track, raced them, and then, if the racing gods were smiling, drove them home again
I am also going through this install; however, I opted to purchase the 09 trunk lid. My car is being completely repainted so the trunk/wing install just became part of the build plan. This being said, I still needed to communicate how to install the wing and all the associated trunk parts to my paint shop. I used the pictures from this guide as my primary reference/resource for the bumper/brace placements. However, there was one step of the install on which I needed more clarity. There are other documentaries on youtube that had the lower support brace installed incorrectly. To confirm proper placement I researched pictures from 08-09 CRs and I confirm that this part is mounted wedge side up. Over time the upper brace actually creates an imprint of the teeth into the wedge. This also gives the impression that the received Honda OEM part is wrong OR that it should be mounted in the other direction. Here are some additional pictures to supplement the already very extensive ones provided and to confirm that this part, when new, has a flat wedge that is to be mounted wedge side up. 09 CR, OEM install of lower trunk protector (74443-S2A-A00). Notice that this part looks like it has teeth marks that match the upper trunk stopper (74442-S2A-A00). It does not. pic of the two holes that need to be drilled to receive the lower trunk protector (left and right side of trunk) Lower trunk protector, passenger and driver sides is to be mounted wedge side up Picture of trunk stoppers, passenger and driver - (R&L). Over time the down-force of the wing embeds the teeth of the upper trunk stoppers into the wedge of the lower trunk protectors.

Reason: for additional clarity - updating details with part numbers
The upper side trunk stoppers, left and right, (74442-S2A-A00 Stopper, R. Trunk Side and 74492-S2A-A00 Stopper, L. Trunk Side) can be adjusted in and out. Properly adjusted and when the trunk is closed, you should be able to slide a piece of paper between the upper side trunk stoppers and the lower side trunk protectors 74443-S2A-A00 Protector, Trunk Side. Over time, the upper side trunk stoppers, as a result of the flexing of the trunk, at speed, will imprint/score the teeth into the lower protectors. If you look at trunk pictures of the 08-09 CRs you can see these marks. It could be that the braces created in yours and other DYI projects are stronger than the factory trunk's and this is not happening. I pointed this out because when you order the OEM part 74443-S2A-A00 Protector, Trunk Side (2) they don't look anything like what you might expect and then the challenge is to figure out which side of the lower side trunk protectors goes up. I can confirm, after researching this topic, that the wedge side is mounted up.
Got the build complete on the outside. On the underside need to tweak the Ohlins a bit on the right side, and installing CR front and rear sway bars. Your guide was very helpful, I cheated by purchasing a CR truck with the holes and other areas set up already. Also could not pull the trigger on drilling my rear fenders for the trunk stops, just used the tape. Already had a CR lip so just painted it, and purchased a new CR wing. I took the wing stabilizer covers (4 total) to my paint shop and they said that the black paint from factory would not hold up so I painted them BB, leaving the tabs GPW. Overall very happy with the build. thanks again

"Alright here goes, LONG reply but includes everything I've figured out attempting the same thing. The CR trunk lid is the same shape / fits on normal base-model cars just fine, only differences are it has a fairly substantial metal reinforcement attached on each side in between the outer and inner layers of the trunk to better distribute the downforce of the wing / prevent bending, and it has the 6 holes already drilled for the CR wing in the right spots. Search on s2ki if you want instructions for how to cut your own metal reinforcement pieces which will help you use a non-CR trunk lid, and for how to position the holes if you want to do it yourself. I don't have a spare trunk to use that isn't already drilled for different spoilers or else I might just attempt it on my own, but instead I'm ordering a new CR trunk lid- used setups are currently selling for more than buying all the new parts and having it painted ($3k for the wrong color setup, 8 hours away, used was the least bad deal I've seen lately) The trunk uses all the normal rubber stoppers, plus has quite a few extra rubber pieces that support the whole trunk lid at speed as the wing pushes down progressively harder on the trunk lid. Those extra rubber pieces don't quite touch the rest of the car / back bumper when you're stopped, but they press down pretty hard when the car is driven fast (I've seen where it can push down hard enough to push the back bumper our of alignment). The spoiler is pretty functional, I believe Honda claimed it reduces uplift by 70%, so not as much as a "giant wing", but more than the other OEM spoiler options. Note that I believe there's a part on each side that's supposed to be drilled in to your stock rear fenders in the trunk well, but some have reportedly been able to mount them with 3M tape to avoid drilling their fenders.
A few of the rubber pieces on the list below are already on your stock trunk lid (I wanted to keep my existing OEM trunk ready to re-install easily without switching everything back over every time). If you're wanting all new OEM parts, I believe this is what you'll want to look for, all part numbers were pulled from s2ki or online parts diagrams, so if there are any errors I'll be finding that out myself pretty soon. I have a spare 3rd brake light, spare set of trunk hinges, and am transferring the lock / latch components from my existing trunk onto the CR trunk lid so they are not on the list below, but you can use the ones already on your car assuming you have a functional trunk already:

I was originally planning to pick up the trunk lid and wing from the closest Honda dealer that will discount off list price, and have the rest of the smaller parts shipped from Majestic (hondaautomotiveparts dot com), since most online sellers won't ship really big stuff like trunk lids / bumpers, and the wing costs a little more to ship than you can pick it up for, but as it turns out I'm a couple hours away from Hard Top Guy and am planning to get all items through him directly instead. Good luck!"
Currently in the process of installing my EOS CR wing and wanted to share the template I used to get the first stud lined up and started. Hopefully this helps anyone else tackling the install.
If anyone is wondering I used a Stair Tread Template Tool to capture the distance between the threaded insert (similar to Naus youtube video)
This was for the driver side, to mark for the passenger side just flip the template over and use the same reference marks.
I attached a scanned photo of the template I made to this post.
I did a test print (standard sheet of printer paper) of the PDF and cut it out, and it lined up perfectly with the cardboard template I made.
The template for the metal brace was made out of 16G sheet metal that I bought from home depot.
Since every install can vary, I only labeled one hole so you can adjust for the other 2 holes as needed. Just line up the first hole, then mark the rest accordingly.
I also made my metal bracket slightly shorter in height than the OP’s and Naus’s to make it easier to slide between the S2000’s trunk sheet metal.
