Possibly purchasing Yellow s2k CR

Hey guys (and gals). I'm new to the forum. Ive been searching for an s2k for a few months now. I really like the CR model, but they are hard to come by. I just found a 2008 yellow CR with low miles at a really good price. I put in an offer and it got accepted! The only down side is that yellow is my least favorite color that the s2k was offered in, Based on my research the price is too good to pass up despite my dislike for the color. What is the likelihood that I would be able to trade a yellow cr for a blue one? I know their was short production runs for this model and I know it has high collectibility. I'll likely go ahead and buy it anyways, but ideally I'd be able to buy it and trade it for a comparable blue s2k CR. What do you guys think? I'm sure the yellow (May) grow on me eventually...plus the black/yellow interior will at least match the exterior haha

Yellow is quite possibly the sexiest CR color! I don't think I have ever seen a trade, you will have to buy the yellow, sell the yellow, and then go buy a blue.

If Yellow is not the color that you really want, do not buy it, wait and buy the car that you really want (blue). My 2 cents...

It will grow on you. Keep it. It was meant to be.

IMO yellow grows on you real fast... It was my least favorite S color and now it is definitely one of my favorites. GPW gets old with the million of other white cars on the roads.

This is great advice for the average consumer, but I am far from average! Although I really love the blue, color is somewhat insignificant to me. I'll happily buy the yellow at this price and sit on it until a trade possibility comes up, if ever. I'd happily even add some $$ on my end to get the color I want in trade if possible. These cars seem very very rare, I'm from RI and I was considering going to Cali to buy a blue one and pay close to 29-30k for it. Somehow the planets have aligned and I'm in the right place at the right time, I could drive a yellow one home next week for 25,5k from the dealership (pre tax/registration) but after doc fees. The price sounds too good to be true for a sub-40k mile CR in good condition. I'm going tomorrow to see it in person

GPW was my #1 choice, but then the blue ones grew on me. It's either the Laguna blue or the apex blue that I really love (I don't know which is which) haha but I love the darker blue. It's more of a royal blue, not the tropical skittles blue  there is one in NJ at a dealership but they want 32k for it and said they'd only move maybe 1k on the price and I don't want to pay 30k+ for a CR, even though it's only 25k miles. I'm going to daily drive this vehicle and cheaper is better, especially in New England!

It's generally easier to trade money for a car than a car for a car, especially when the only difference between the cars in question is color. You wanted to know if it will be *easily* traded: imo, no, it will not be easily traded. Money trades easier.

I realize this, hence the introduction of fiat currency as a medium of exchange. I guess my question wasn't specific enough - Does the possibility of a trade exist? I know many people prefer the yellow so I was hoping it would give me some negotiating lower to make a trade. The dealer ship just sent me more pics of the vehicle and it looks great, I think I'll probably be happy keeping the yellow anyways.

However, if anyone has a nice Low mileage CR and is interested in a possible trade I'd be happy to hear from you! I'll upload some pics soon

Maybe you should figure out which blue is which before deciding you want blue... :suspect:    Laguna is nothing like Apex Blue and Apex is the CR blue...

Not saying its not possible, but in all my s2000 years I have not seen a trade happen...so buy the car you want the first time.

Price at this point is roughly 26k, based on these pics does this sound fair/reasonable? I'm just trying to determine if I should wear my "negotiating" pants or my "mr happy camper" pants when I go to the dealership to see it tomorrow. What do you think is a good/fair price point on this vehicle?
