Maybe you should figure out which blue is which before deciding you want blue... :suspect:    Laguna is nothing like Apex Blue and Apex is the CR blue...
Not saying its not possible, but in all my s2000 years I have not seen a trade happen...so buy the car you want the first time. |
Laguna blue is the darker blue and is not available on the CR. THE CR is apex blue which is lighter. Might want to do some more s2000 research before buying a car.
Not trying to be rude, but you are aware the CR doesn't have a soft top right? |

Not trying to be rude, but you are aware the CR doesn't have a soft top right? Here is the listing for the apex blue pearl cr that I was referencing.. http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...nal&listType=1 I've never seen it in person and the pictures are dark so it's hard to tell the color difference with my limited exposure to these rare vehicles! |
There is no such thing as a Laguna Blue CR...sorry you are mistaken. Does not exist. The link you posted is is Apex Blue Pearl, which is the CR blue, and the only available blue for the CR.
There are very few side by side photos comparing Laguna to Apex but here you go. Both colors look very different depending on the lighting Laguna is MUCH DARKER then Apex: Laguna blue https://i1115.photobucket.com/albums...nt-quarter.jpg https://img691.imageshack.us/img691/3079/yeahee.jpg Apex Blue http://www.benlevy.com/auto/images/img_0976.jpg http://racingready.com/wp-content/up...12-14-046e.jpg I hope that helps a little. |
adrs2k took care of most of the big points but I would just add that I would hold off on any purchases for a little while to do more research, see what comes up for sale, and then make a decision. On the surface anyway, it seems like you're rushing into this a bit and may not be completely satisfied with what you end up with. As others have said, a straight trade will be hard and I have not seen it either (doesn't mean it hasn't happened). Plus there are plenty of things to consider in a trade like mileage, condition, etc.

Is this the one from lexus dealership? Yellow is beautiful! Should get it and put original wheels on! Good luck with your purchase :)

I guess it's the lighting in the pictures that had me fooled. I really like the Laguna blue, I only like the apex blue when it's in poor lighting lol. I have known for a while that I wanted an s2000 but hadn't found the right one or the right color. I also know I want a CR so it will maintain it's value better, not that I necessarily plan to sell it but in case I do. Since Laguna blue isn't available in the CR model... Yellow it is!

Make sure you take care of TPMS issues and check the suspension if its original CR suspension as they are different from base model, TPMS, wheels and suspension for CR are not cheap

I'd listen to the other guys here regarding a CR purchase in general, but I'll add some comments about yellow in particular. I never thought I would own a yellow car, it's just not my thing. When I bought my CR, it was more a matter of a car popping up in the exact condition for the price I wanted. Those things were more important to me than the color, so I just went with it. Now after owning the car almost 2 years, the color has totally grown on me. The yellow is also crazy photogenic. My car looks rough in person and is rarely clean, but every picture I see of it somehow makes the car look good.
