03 ecu wont work in 02 S2K

Default 03 ecu wont work in 02 S2K

I recently sold a 03 ecu to a guy around town and he tyook it to 2 different honda deler ships and had it reprogramed for his key but the car will still not start. any suggestions on what it could be?

why would he put an 03 ecu in an 02? they should be the same...maybe something else is wrong with the car?

They didn't reprogram it correctly, or your 03 PCM is bad.

i guess he went to two diffent locations to get it done. what is the PCM?

When they reprogram an ECU they use a proprietary tool to make the immobilizer in the ECU able to be de-activated by the key.

Either something is wrong with his car, something is wrong with the ECU you sold him, or both dealers just aren't doing it correctly.

you need to program the pcm immobilizer code with the vin that the pcm came from
