I brought back my car to the shop to have the remote start installed. Got a call from them a few hours later saying that unlike the AP1, my 05 uses a different type of module. For some reason, they could not work the auto start with my AP2. Therefore, my car will have to spend a night at the shop until they can figure out tomorrow what module to use.

FYI, this shop has done a handful of AP1 S2k but has not work on a remote start for an AP2 yet. They also are a very reputable shop with a lot of great reviews.

Has any AP2 ran the remote start with no problems?

 

by module you mean a bypass... the possible modules that you may need would be the 556u ( which you would loose a key) always works... the xko5( discontinued but awesome or the pkall which is relatively new neither of the last two you woudl loose a ky with...

 

My shop is having same problem with my 05 also. They are trying to use the XpressKit PKALL. Anyone with an 05 successfully installed PKALL for their remote start? I don't want to lose a key with the other bypasses.
