Default 07 S2K iPod/Aux in

Hey all, im a bit confused about this. I have been reading other threads on the topic and I am seeing different suggestions. I have an 07 S2K and I do not want to remove the factory head unit. I want to be able to plug my iPhone in so that I can listen to my music. I don't care if I can control the music from my radio or not, I can select songs off my phone its not a big deal. Anyway, what do I need to get?

Cheapest route for ok sound would be a wired FM Modulator.

I've never seen this product first hand but I understand the concept. Yes it "should" work, but if you're going to go with something that will plug into the rear of the radio for digital sound, why not go with something like a Peripheral iSimple PXAMG/PGHHD1 or at least a Peripheral IS77.

There are plenty of suggested iPod interface kits for the stock radio in existing threads.

I have tried searching and I keep reading different things! I read somewhere that there is a cable that you can plug into the CD changer plug in the trunk near the spare tire. Where do I get one of those?

I've never heard of anything that plugs into anything in the trunk. it was probably referring to the aux plug on the back of the stock radio, like the ones that is listed above.

Never heard of this either.

What you are looking for is the USA-Spec iPod Interface: http://usaspec.com/product.php?Produ...eShowProduct=1

Plugs into the CD-changer slot in the back of your S2000 radio. Completely plug-n-play. I did this in my Tacoma and I love it. The whole job took me about 30 minutes. It's near the top of the list for my S; it's not my DD so I don't have major audio needs.

Of course -- there's more than one iPod interface for the factory stereo and not everyone's going to use the exact same one. IIRC most interface kits use the CD changer (or XM) connection. I can't speak to whether or not they can connect to the CD changer connection in the trunk though. Probably depends on whether or not it's the same connector as the one on the back of the head unit for the CD changer.
