Ok so I just bought a 2001 championship type R white honda s2000. the front end was converted with 04 bumpers and it has 08 headlights and taillights. I was driving last night and i started to smell something burning so i pulled over, and sure enough whoever did the installation of the headlights bypassed the fuse box and ran it directly through the car (so i blew headlight fuses and my main battery fuse) anyway, my question to you guys is does anyone know if i can get a better wiring harness, possibly kyo wire harness, and if so, is it the H1 series? im having a hard time figuring out which harness i would need to make this work. plus now i also have to re-run wires from the headlight into the fuse box, and then into the car any help would be greatly appreciated

 

Without seeing pictures it's hard to give advice but sounds like previous owner did a crappy chop job on the install.

If done right, you can use your stock wiring and maybe using Bosch relays to take the main current of the power draw. I would go over the entire electrical system since he obviously did a lousy job. This is why I'm always scared at modded cars done by inexperienced people.
