Default 1 10" or 2 8's???

I have 652W @ 2ohm to drive them.

My box is aprox 0.98 cu.ft so if I go with 2 8's I'd seal each compartment.

I was thinking 2 of these for the 8" option

Rockford Fosgate Punch HX2 RFD2208

Details: Dual 2ohm VC 400WRMS (200WRMS per coil) SO 800WRMS total. (Underdriven)

And for the single 10" option I was thinking.

Rockford Fosgate Punch HX2 RFD2210

Details: Dual 2ohm VC 500WRMS (250WRMS per coil) SO 500WRMS total (Overdriven)

Any suggestions??
I'm very happy with RF drivers and I have a good supplier locally to get my hands on them.

I've not bothered to look up specs on either of these drivers, but in general. . .

A 10" will provide lower (frequency) bass than an 8"
A 10" will handle more power
A 10" will be more efficient (higher output per watt)

But you are talking about dual 8" drivers, which changes things.

Adding a second driver will gain you 3db output per watt, which is like doubling the efficiency of the 8" system and may make it more efficient than the 10". Plus the second driver increases power handling significantly too.

You really need to plug the values into a speaker spreadsheet and see what the difference is. If you can provide Fs, Xmax, Qes, Qms, Re, and Vas I can run some comparisons.

Also, when using identical drivers there is no benefit to having a separate compartment for each driver, unless you are going to do something strange like run them stereo instead of mono.

I just realized the 8's ONLY come in dual 4ohm so they are out

I think I'll just do the 1 10" Possibly find one that can handle more power.

I would do a 10" There is a sale on EBAY for Soundstream DaVinci subs for like 139.99. They are 700 dollar subs. Snag one of those, I ordered 3, one for me, and 2 for christmas presents for my friends.

Oh and the DaVinci sub is 1000W RMS. Plenty of power to shake out your fillings. And yes this sub will destroy a W7. The only sub that I heard come close is a Brahma, Phoenix Gold Ti Elite, Eclipse Ti.
