Does anyone know if I can use the cables from an '03 CD changer attachment kit in the back of an '04 radio? I purchased the '04 H/U from Ebay, wanting to add the Honda XM radio kit. However, the '04 model comes pre-wired with the M-bus sub-harness where my '03 did not. Can I use the bus cable from an '03 CD attachment kit to connect to the factory XM package ?

and the reason i say this is because the 04 changer is different (different part number) then the <=03 changer

 

If the '03 bus cable can;t be used, any ideas where the appropriate cable might be purchased? Seems like BIG waste to go to the dealer for a $250 dollar cable just to add a $400 XM unit....

Alternatively, has anyone connected the '04 H/U to aftermarket XM adapters and kept the text option ?

 

I have the pinout of the '03 bus cable. It is in my service manual. Does anyone have the pinout of the '04 cable so I might compare the two? I'd certainly appreciate it if you would share that info....
