2015 - Small amp that goes under the seat
I searched the forum for this but there was nothing but posts from > 5 years ago. Technology has improved over years and I've noticed amps have gotten much lighter & smaller. Given what we have today, is it still a complex idea to mount the amp under the seat? I am looking something that could power the door speakers so 2ch would suffice here.
If anyone has any experience with small amp, I'd love to hear your 2 cents here!

Yeah. That unit is definitely on my radar but I want to seek for better options as its only putting out 45W RMS.
I am also looking at PBR300X2 but it seems that the unit gets quite hot so I am unsure if it will overheat.

Im on the lookout for an amp to power a 10 inch alpine type r. I mounted a 4ch where the spare tire used to be, but it is removable if I need to swap for the tire. So far it looks like the alpine pdr-m65. It has 450w rms at 4 ohm.

i have an Alpine PDX-V9, which puts out 100x4 & 500x1 for a sub (bench tested at 150+ x 4 & 580+ x 1). i don't have it mounted under the seat. i secured it in another location. haven't put in my trunk sub enclosure yet though.

I have a PBR300X2 under my passenger seat and no issues with overheating.

I did not have to remove anything. I removed the seat, ran the wires through the hole in the carpet for the seat mounting bolt and put velcro on the back side of the amp to hold it in place. Seat maintains full range of travel and doesn't hit the amp. My car is a 2005, so no passenger air bag sensor to worry about.
