hello!

I was looking at few speakers and some of them are 2way coaxial or 3 way coaxial.
I looked at FAQ but it only has explanation on the difference between coaxial and component speakers.
could anyone help me on this?
which ones better? or what does this 'way' mean?

2-way means each speaker is made up of two separate speakers:
a woofer for low frequencies, and a tweeter for highs. 3-ways add
a third speaker for mids. In theory, by adding more speakers you
can optimize each speaker for the smaller range of frequencies it
needs to reproduce; in practice, two speakers covers the frequency
range pretty well and you'll find far greater differences between
brands than between 2- versus 3-way.

 

I agree with oth, there are a few good 3 way components out there with optimized crossovers using a decent midbass driver with a decent midrange driver and regular tweeter, but 3-way coaxials have never been that great of an idea IMO... then you have the pioneer 4 ways.. ugh.
