7-color LED DASH?
So i saw a video on youtube where this guy has his s2k's dash light up in different colors and whenever he hit V-TEC it would change yellow. I really liked it and id like to know if anyone either has it already or knows about it and can tell me by experience if it actually works and if it is legit is it hard top install/tamper with let me know.
qube engineering has them. http://www.qube-engineering.com/Purc...products_id=16 the one at the bottom is multi color like ur talking about. They look pretty cool but their pricey imo
It is an easy install for the most part. I just had my cluster re-done in LED from a friend on S2kca.com, mine has red speedometer and amber tachometer and amber fuel and temp gauges, so two colours but you can choose from a multitude of colours if you like. I like the way my guy does it because it works off the factory power supply with no need to splice into the spare fuse panel power supply. He's a bit less expensive than the other suppliers. Hit me up if you want his contact info. My cluster is on the way back to me as we speak, hope to have it fired up shortly.
thats cool i wanted my dash to look like this but just blue/teal(cyan) and to change yellow when i hit v-tec like in this video http://youtu.be/lEYphgNviEE
I believe the Qube Engineering one uses white LEDs and colored filters for the different
screen segments, so the whole display doesn't change colors, it's just that different
segments of the tach are different colors.
The one on YouTube appears to be made with different color LEDs which are switched on and off
depending on RPM. It's not clear that they are actually selling that product now, but you
could contact the poster of the video.
