Default 8 Inch Sub In Trunk

I decided to ditch my rsx sub for a Rockford Fosgate 8" Punch Sub. I'd rather put it in the side of the trunk but don't want to pay alot for a custom enclosure. Will a small box fit into the side of the trunk? I don't recall seeing anybody with this in their setup so feedback or pics would be appreciated.

Hey guys i need some help/advise on this i don't know whether to go with a single 8 or a 10 in the trunk, what do you think should be the best? i'm more concern with weight than anything else is a 10 much heavier than an 8? is there a big sound difference? thanks for the help

The difference in weight will be small between an 8 and 10 - maybe 4 or five pounds assuming they are in the same enclosure.

You will get better bass response from a 10" sub - it moves more air. Really depends on your musical tastes, etc..

An 8" sub will give you good bottom fill and a 10" sub will give you fill and some thump.
