Easiest thing to do is to go on the Alpine website and register as a user. I am pretty sure you can enter the parameters of your car on the site and it will give you a file that you can then burn onto a CDR. Then you just put the CDR into the player and it adjusts the parameters in the HU accordingly. At least that is what I have been told but I am still waiting on my 9835 to come in...

Hope that helps...

burn the file onto a cd, it'll be a .mp3 file.... hit your menu button on your deck until you get to the "Download" screen... hit the volume button I believe and click the scroll left or right button, it should say "yes", now hit the volume button.... then it should download from your CD.. I tried it today and it goes something like that =) good luck!!!

i think i messed up the burning though...because i dont put my mp3's in folders...i just have them all in the one directory (drag and drop) so i have to put my mp3's in folders right? and then put the i personlize setting by itself in the root directory outside of a music mp3 folder?

It will cost you less than 10 cents to put it on its own CD, why don't you try that?

rarely...

only if i'm at very low levels (ie, wife's in the car), and i want to give the system a little 'oomph'.

otherwise, i think it's 100% POS.
