adding features to the stock honda alarm system???
well, the stock honda alarm system works well if the doors are opened or if the window breaks, but not if the car is knocked and there is no siren. a basic alarm system that does the right job.
however, after surfing autotoys.com, i came upon the alarm section which presented the idea of adding certain features to an OEM alarm system. this would include adding a siren, shock sensors, and extra to the keyless entry system.
i was wondering if anyone here has actually done this...i like the idea of keeping the honda remote transmitter just to make the car feel 100% stock, but with added security like the shock sensors.
also, for those that have an OEM alarm system, do you guys know if there are any inputs into the alarm control unit at all? i'm thinking probably not.
the add-ons i was looking at didn't include a proximity sensor...and that is something i'd really want to get...in case the top is down, the windows are down, and someone is reaching into the car...
anyways, thanks for any and all input. greatly appreciated!!!
