Default Adding tweeters to a MY'01

hey guys, i have a 01 s2000. I have the stock head unit, with 2 speakers. I recently got a set of stock 04 s2000 tweeters and i wanted to install them. What would I need to do with the wiring? I was thinking about getting an 04 head unit from my friend who has one. People w/ 00's, and 01's, what did you do to add tweeters?

Honestly you really can't in any normal way... you can split the lines and get a set of bass blocker resistors to add to the lines or you can buy a set of cross-over and hook them up... but either way I really don't recommend it...

If for some reason you feel you must add tweeters to your system your better off buying an aftermarket cross-over to break up the signal. But I think its a bad idea and I honestly dont think you should do it, but if you must that's the way to go.

what if i upgrade to an 04 head unit or aftermarket head unit? the reason why i want to use these stock tweeters is cuz i got them for free, and my car only has 2 speakers stock. I also switched to 04 door panels which have the tweers in the panel, and i'd like to use them. Everyone else is running way krazier setups than me.

All I am asking is how i can get these tweeters to work with either an 04 headunit, or an aftermarket one. thanks

Ok I double checked and you can just add them on... they have a resistor on the back of them to block the low FQ's. So just wire them in.

Actually, the low frequencies are probably blocked by a capacitor in series with the tweeter. All a resistor would do would be to reduce the overall level of the tweeter. But, yeah, that is the basic idea of a simple crossover.
