Default After Market Head Unit Installation

I have been told that there is an adapter that you can buy to enable the "steering wheel controls" (althought they arent on the wheel, thats what they call them), but I cannot find this product anywhere. I have also been told that there is an infared solution, but that one sounds time consuming.

Help/tia

Those two options are the best of the bunch I believe but there are also a couple more. There is the PAC-SWX and the Alpine unit for some Alpine head units.

I have the Alpine 9855 with alpine's DCI (button's work like on Factory HU). I like Modifry's added functions especially the variable volume for speed changes. I think I could get my sound installers to do it for me cause they owe me a favour.

Is the added expense worth it?
Is the PAC better?

Any views

modifry's DCI can be found here:

in my opinion -- it is the best option for the money.

Rick - If Lucid lists the product but not the price then he obviously isn't that keen to sell it. If there is some reason you want to buy form there why don't you contact Lucid. Otherwise, just click the Marketplace link and see what they sell it for. It's not that hard.
