Alarm acting up
Hey guys, I had my CompuSTAR Pro P2W9000FMR for about a year now. I've got a shock sensor and a proximity sensor. Recently, whenever I arm my car the screen shows that someone is breaking into the car and the remote vibrates and it won't stop unless I disable the alarm. What could be going wrong? Is it my remote or my computer in the dash that's acting up?
Thanks guys
P.S. The last thing I installed were LED footwell lights in which I grounded the LEDs to the door latch, and gave them power from the interior fuse panel using the battery 12v constant. Not sure if this would effect the alarm, but this was the last thing I did.
Thanks guys

I haven't touched my proximity sensor. It's been worked good since I got it installed. Just recently it the alarm started acting weird, whenever I arm it, about 15 seconds later is starts vibrating and beeping..then the alarm goes off. How would I check to see what the problem is?

do you have 2 sirens? if so the prox sensor is thrown off. maybe a door trigger, hood pin, shock sensor, tilt senor but those are the only thing that could cause something to trigger

Thanks for the advice, I don't know where else I could ground them lol, the weird thing is, when I arm my alarm after 15 seconds it will do a couple of warning beeps then set off...but if I arm my alarm, disable the siren and wait maybe an hour and enable the siren again, it will be fine and not trigger.
for a ground. take sanding paper to metel until it is bare and screw. done deal! im sure your prox sensor is setting off your alarm... check when you arm your car if your siren chirps after the initial beep, if it does its telling you a trigger is still open IE door, trunk, hood.
Will do, the only issue I have with grounding is I made the footwells to turn on when the door is opened! lol I was depending on the door switch to complete the circuit and turn them on. I'll try seeing what the alarm does after the initial chirp, but on the remote it doesn't show that any door or trunk is open.
