Default Alarm Installation?

I was wondering how hard is it to install an alarm. I'm talking about either the Viper 791 or the Clifford RSX 3.5. I called the local shop and they charge like $200+ to install them. I would like to do it myself but I was wondering how hard is it to do?

Thanks...

I have the Hornet 700 with the invisibeam that I installed myself with the great color instructions supplied with it. This site has the alarm specifically configured for the S2000. I love it.

um my friend installed my 791 and it took him 2 days and he is a professional alarm installer. I watched and it looks way crazy, unless you know how to mess with wires i recommend have a shop do it.

Thanks guys. I figured this would be tough to install. I am going with the professionals for the install. I really want the viper 791 or the Clifford Matrix.

Thanks...

I've got the 791XV and everything is almost done except for the door openers. I cant figure out how to do it since the OEM uses a + dedicated wire with relays while the viper uses a 2 wire +/- alternating system for locking and unlocking.

Can someone write out a wiring diagram or point me in the right direction.

I'm getting the 791xv installed. Who here has the motion sensor installed? From what I understand is that it's an option. You have to add it on. I'm not sure if I need it. I don't leave stuff laying around when the top is down.

I have the proximity with the Clifford 2.5x. Skip it, it is a PITA.
