Smile Alarm Problem

As new member to site, hope I'm in the correct forum?
Battery was flat after leaving the S2000 in the garage for a while.
Disconnected battery and charged it.
After charging, reconnected it, all flashers came on immediately, and after about 30 seconds the alarm went ballistic!!! Tried using the key blippers (yes, both of them) to switch off the alarm but that didn't work.
Tried replacing the battery in the blipper, that didn't work. Also noticed that the blipper is not working the central locking either.
Put key in the ignition and all lights come on, but engine won't start. Battery seems to be fully charged.
Help!!

Unlock the car(even if it is) and disarm the alarm using the key in the door keyhole. That should disarm it. How long has the car been parked?

Thumbs up

Thanks Darkknight1999 for your suggestion. Apologies for not responding quicker - have been away on business for a week! Will try this morning. Have spoken to Honda dealer who suggested disconnecting the negative terminal (as I had removed positive terminal to charge battery - I did make sure it was well insulated from chassis with a cloth), then connect the positive terminal, reconnecting the negative terminal and then use the blipper to disarm the system. That didn't work!! Now very frustrated. If your suggestion doesn't work, I'll have to get it taken to the dealer for them to work it out - could be expensive!
WILL GET BACK TO YOU LATER TODAY.

Hi again Darkknight1999. Just to answer your question re "how long parked up?" Car has been in the garage un-driven for maybe 6 weeks.

Well you have a MY2000, if this is the original battery it could just be dead. It could even test out and seem ok but its actually not.

How old is the battery?

Hi again Darkknight1999. Have now tried every combination of locking car, unlocking car, blipping, not blipping etc, etc. NO LUCK!
Battery is fine, all lights come on with no problem, dash and indicators. Horn is going at full volume - deafening!
The central locking is not working at all. Have tried checking fuses, but can't find a fuse for central locking - is this in the immobiliser circuitry, and therefore secure??
Will get AA patrol in tomorrow morning. If they can solve it - great. If not, it will have to go to the dealers on the back of a truck!! Very frustrating.

Have you check that the button in the remote isn't jammed on?

Thanks for your suggestion dbzerk. Unlikely, as I have tried both transmitters. Both also register a button push with the LED. If the button was stuck, the LED would be on all of the time?
AA Patrol due here any time now, so we'll see what he has to say.
