Default All new audio upgrade help...

Hello all,

I have finally got the money to upgrade my stereo and I'm just going in circles trying to find the best budget fitting stuff. The plan is a new HU, door speakers, amp and sub. I'm mostly concerned with the HU. With the factory unit I have the Neo ipod connector (converts the CD changer port into ipod input) and I love it. I have an iphone and use its interface to control the music and it makes getting a call easy too. I do not want to lose this feature, but it seems all the HUs I have looked at are to connect your ipod, throw it in the glove box (I know) and use the HU controls to interface it. I want a HU I connect my iphone to and never see again. (playing CDs is optional)

I have yet to go to an actually store to look, just been surfing for one.

As far as the speakers go I know I need to go to a audio shop and check some out but any recommendations would be appreciated! It would give me a good starting point.
Also if it matters, I (like most) listen to very different types of music. From Queen to August Burns Red (Metalcore).

My budget is pretty good (I think) but I don't need the best of the best. Just something I can hear with the top down.

Can you guys point me in the right direction?

Thanks for your time!

Everyone has a different idea of what a "pretty good" budget is. How much are you looking to spend?

Little over $600. This does not include installation.
