BS. No ebay seller is authorized by alpine (to the best of my knowledge)

I haven't heard of any in shops yet, but I live in a small beach town far away from civilization, so i'd be the last to hear of it.

However, I'm waiting on 9833 as well, so do the right thing and keep us abreast of any developments.

Note that it says under warranty section: "1 Year SE." I assume that means that if it breaks, your only warranty is through their outfit, NOT with Alpine USA. Good luck with that one. Dunno what that radio sells for at an authorized dealer, but I would probably pay it to know I have somewhere to take the radio when it breaks.

There is nothing worse than having to deal with gray market, incompetent BS when you are trying to solve a problem with something like that. IMO, of course.

True True, but it's out there for sale on the open market, which means pretty soon everyone will have them.

including yours truly!

Time to build a system! Hooray!

I have the 9813... the controls are sweet, its the last years model, but i just got it at a good price. I wouldnt buy an alpine deck online, they arnt much cheaper then stores and they would offer no warranty threw online (non-dealers that is). 9813 and 9833 have a lot of moving parts... you never know when something might mess up.

I bought my 9833 on Sat. from a friends shop and installed it yesterday. Not the best price but hey, supporting my friends shop and the local economy! Got it for 395, I think Ebays was 365 but I have no worries with repairs and if there are problems he would give me a loaner deck, thats worth the extra $. Anyways I love this deck...had a 7995 before but no built in amp
