Default Alpine 9833 Buzzing noise

ok...so I've delt with it long enough...no I'm getting sick of it...the face plate of my 9833 HU reaches its resonance frequency when my car is around 3-4k rpms...if I push on the face plate, it will go away. I've tried putting a few pieces of doulbe stick tape in there (but leaving one side not sticky)...

Is there anything I can do...perhaps removing it and adjusting something? I tried searching, but typical of our search function...there was nothing relevent. Thanks guys

Have you looked at the faceplate clips to see if there worn out for some reason? Oh and what exhaust are you running?

No, I haven't truely inspected the clips...but I mean there was nothing obvious. And, I'm running a JIC single catback...

my 9831 rattles too. the same exact way you described. im running a J's racing N1 single, so it most likely rattles because of this thing.

damn...so many others with the problem, but no fix . Well, I'll be out of town this weekend, but sometime next week, I'll pull the stereo, and try to figure something out...

One by One I've been identifying and eliminating rattles, RTV Silicon has also been working well for me.

Ok...so...I fixed it.

Just took the faceplate off, unscrewed it and took it apart, COMPLETELY. Then, with a little black (color obviously doesn't matter) RTV Silicon I put SMALL dabs on the areas that looked like could be causing the buzz in the button...let it all dry for a hour or two, put it back together, and HEY...it works great now. No buzzing at all...no I'm on to fix the rest of the little rattles and stuff in my car.

Ohh and yes it was the <<| button...actually it was the l>> button but whatever.

There you go guys...if it drives you crazy, this will fix it.

I have that too with my 9833, but mostly when the face is out, when its retracted fully in, it makes it less, when it really annoys me I just close the radio door and resort to the DCI and dash buttons.
