No. The volume knob is too big...it requires a piece of the door (inside) to get trimmed.

Get the 9831 if you want no issues at all.

Mine hit knob at first, I then took unit back out and unscrewed the mounting brackets from the unit, took the Dremel out and made holes in bracket slightly oval. Just enough for unit to move back maybe 3/32" (guessing), knob doesn't hit door it fits perfect now.

I've got the 9833 with no issues on the '04 radio door. fits very nicely. Not sure about the 9827 though.

I have the 9827 and didn't have to modify the door at all. The trick is to use the stock radio brackets.

When using these, there is a slight modification you have to do to make them fit properly. On the sides, there is a little nub that sticks out that you need to remove or flatten. I used a vice clamp to flatten it, and everything looks good.

Hope this helps....

Don't let this issue stop you from considering the 9827, the door closes without modification to the door. On mine the door hit the volume knob enough to put it in balance mode, it would touch the Knob when pushing on the door while latching and once latched it didn't touch. The unit just needed to sit back no more than 3/32"so the inside door doesn't touch the knob while pushing on it to latch. Some on the site that have this HU didn't have this issue, it is a slight issue that is rectified in minutes by modifing mounting bracket holes slightly oval. It is more work and unsightly to cut off the inside door flap.
I got this unit because it didn't have a motorized face plate, I just want to put a disc in without waiting for face to move , plus one less potential problem.
I think it's a great HU.

Took a dremmel to my door. Cut out around where the knob would go. Looks fine and knob no longer is depressed by door. Took pic prior to clean-up. Sorry about the dust and debris.
