Default Alpine CDA-9827 and external MP3 player

I am not too knowledgeable about car audio. I have an Alpine CDA-9827 MP3/CD headunit in the S. However, I recently purchased a Creative Zen Touch and that thing rocks! It holds all my music collection with room to spare (20GB). I was wondering if
there was any way to hook-up the Zen to the Alpine. Not looking for a wireless FM Transmitter option and those things do not work and sound bad.

Thanks.

see if you have a spare aux or line in , in the rear of your deck. If you do, then you can find a long cable that will go from the zen touch to your deck.

dunno if that'll actually work, but just thought i'd try to help

Looking at the owner's manual (downloadable from the Alpine web site) it looks like you can buy an optional component that would give you an AUX-In for that HU.

I couldn't find an Alpine unit, but this one sounds like it would give you what you need.

You'll also need to run over to Radio Shack and get one of these if you go with the aforementioned product, because its input is a dual-RCA and you need to get from the player's mini-plug of the Zen to the dual-RCAs.

this one is less expensive if all you want to do is play your mp3 player thru its headphone jack.

You're right, it's a much better option. Appears that Crutchfield puts their adapter cable in two different places on the site and I chose the wrong one.
