Default Alpine iPod headunits

Which model are most people getting? There is about a 100 dollar difference between the various models. I looked on alpine's website but the differences seem to be small or non existent...maybe I am missing something?

I just ordered the iDA-X305. It's the new one and works with iPhone 3G out of the box. I'm also adding the Imprint processor and mic along with XM satellite radio but won't have it all done until Saturday.

There are a few differences. The main one is that the 100/305 have the 2" full color screen that emulates the iPhone/iPod screen and displays album art from the device. They also come with the full speed USB connection cable for iPod and iPhone, where the 200 has it as a $30 option. The 305 is new and is certified iPhone ready which means you won't get a prompt to turn off the cell service to avoid interface every time you plug in your phone.

I have the 305. Works well with Iphone. Occasionally I will get the "not deisgned for use with Iphone" message but a quick disconnect usually solves that. Sometimes I have to reboot phone. I am also using the bluetooth which works well.

I just bought the 305 tonight and going to install it tomorrow. Are you running 3.0 beta? I have it right now, does the 305 work with bluetooth streaming?

Another thing I have noticed is that if I am talking via bluetooth and someone else calls it forwards them to voicemail at one ring.

I recently had the x100 which I loved to death, but sold it. Real dumb on my part. The red color option should goes well with the stock amber. Love how easy it was to scroll through the playlists. Only prob is that the radio barely closed over the knob. Have push in left bottom corner. Im prob gonna get the x305 because I have the 3g iphone. Seen them on ebay for $300. Just waiting for the live cash back to get back to 35%.

anyone here planning to use the dash controls for this HU using one of those PAC devices instead of the DCI ones?

and can you control the tracks from the ipod itself in addition to the HU?

^ Yes, mine will have the dash control. I'll let everyone know how it works.
