Default Which amp to get to power a jl w6 sub & components

Hey all,

As of right now I have an Alpine HU and polk audio components. I just bought a JL audio 10w6v2-d4 sub and now I need a 4/3 channel amp to power them up.

Since I have a dual 4 ohm subwoofer what do I need to look out for in an amp? I want a 4 channel amp and have channel 1 for the Left and channel 2 for the Right. Then I'm going to bridge channel 3-4 to the sub. The bridge needs to be 2 ohm. What amps out there that have what I need?

Thanks

HAHA.
True, but you can use the "Outfit My Vehicle" to decide what you want to get.
Then buy elsewhere

I found a jl 10w6v2 on craigslist and also I found an amp Alpine PDX-1.600 Mono Subwoofer Amplifier. My question is I don't know much about audio and I was wondering if this amp is good enough to power my sub/HU/and components..

thanks

Thumbs up

JL audio 10w6v2-d4

Now that I got the subwoofer. What amp should I get to power this bad boy up? I want the amp to power the woofer, components.

Speakers: Polk Audio DB6501
Power Handling (continuous) 100 RMS (each or both)

Sub:
JL w6:
400 RMS

So, total RMS is 600?
Can you guys recommend me some good 3/4 channel amps?

Thanks

The jl 10w6 u have is a dual 4 ohm woofer, which means you need an amp that does 400w rms at 2 ohms. That alpine pdx 1.600 will work great if you can get it for a good deal for the sub. It would be ideal to run a 4 channel amp, 2 channels for the front and the other 2 channels bridged to run the sub, but you won't find many amps that could run 2 ohm stable on the bridged channels of a 4 channel amp.
