quite pleased with the end result, it keeps use of the boot space once its fitted and i can still keep everything in the original place for when the car is sold on for a newer one.
Once its fitted if you need to get to the tools below it will just lift out with enough cables spare not to undo it all.
I edited your photo's So they go down instead of 2 feet to the right
thanks for edit darkknight, i did try and get that done, but gave up.
darren1629 i was going to go the oposite way but found it didnt work very well, the boot slightly falls away so i went the way i did to hide the fall.
what i was planning but it will not work was to place a cover over the top but with the anlge of the amps it just will not fit, (yet) i do plan to play about with it once the car is back with me and see hwat i can do to place a cover over the amps but still see them.
where does this sit? above the spare tire?? or in the tool well?
i need someplace to mount my 500/1 - (i know jim i need the flat cover )
It will sit just on top of the tool compartment so no loss of space as it can be lifted out when ever the need to get to the tools if broken down, i wanted to keep the boot as much as i could as stock so when the time came to sell on i could just move everything to the next S.
I would if I was you (keeping in mind I like bling )I would make a wood piece that would go over the middle section, carpet it with the same color as stock and having it sit the same height as the rest of the trunk. This will do 2 things:
1. Hide your wiring.
2. A great place to hide some nice lighting effects.
Doing this will make it look like the amps are in 2 black holes and with no wiring to speak of because its hidden away and you'll have the extra lighting effects.
wont work with my setup then cause this sits in my tool area
does look good though
I see, could build a small side rack so its on show i am building a sub enclosure for one side of the boot, once its done i will post some pictures, will be holding a *W7 JL sub whcih i hope is going to kick.
does depend if you want to show the amp or hide it up, if your going to hide it you can just about fit it in the boot if you build a round tub to fit on top of the spare wheel, or if your showing it off then anything is possible with the boot space.
