Thumbs up Amplifier suggestions?

I'm gonna be running the Infinity 6.1 Perfect Kappas and was wondering which amplifier would fit my system the best. I'm not looking for anything crazy or showy but just want considerably better sound quality over stock. I might get a subwoofer in the future too. My budget is up to $300. I'm running an outdated Alpine CDA9833 headunit. Would I need a newer HU to run with my speakers and amp or will the difference not be much? Thanks in advance!

Check on Crutchfield. There's product from Alpine that 'amplifies' the headunits output without a amp in the trunk.

Alpine KTP-445

http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Ite...00KTP445&tp=115

Check to see if that is 'compatible' with your headunit through there tech department.

Good luck.

The KTP is compatible with 2005 and up Alpine HUs with the 'black' harness plug. I just put it on my iDA x303 and can say its worth the price, especially at only $120.

I have the Kappa Four and love it, it will fit over the gas tank. It's a full range D class, so its small and packs a lot of power for the size.

You can find them for under 3 bills at amazon.

I have mine setup with 125RMS X 2 to the fronts and 300RMS X 1 to a sub.

I recommend getting something at least 100RMS to the doors to over come road noise without clippin the signal.
