Just wanted to share my installation of my two amps. The JL 450/4 is mounted on a rack in the spare tire area, and I mounted the Soundstream Rubicon II 500.1 on a rack across the back.
You will notice that the soundstream amp does not have any wiring to it. It's waiting for the arrival of the big surprise.
Amp on the way back to them. I've had several conversations via email with one of their EE. They will be shipping me a new one and when it arrives I have to call their EE to make sure I install it properly. They are also going to open up the old one to see what happened.
I don't understand why the JL works just fine with all the same wiring.
I remember I got a pair of the Klipsch Promedia 5.1s back when they first came out. My set was fine, but everyone else's was blowing up, set after set, after set. Finally mine went. Sometimes good companies have many flukes.
So you're gonna swap the JL for the soundstream again, and keep the JL as the reserve?????
How's the SQ difference? Which one is better in your opinion....
Im guessing Van Gogh because of the stupid regulated power supply in the JLs.
