Unhappy Another Alarm Install Question

Hi,

I scoured google and s2ki, every internet source to try to find my answer.. Still haven't found a direct answer to my question.

Basically, it's the power lock/unlock i'm worried about. I want to KNOW:

- How many relays do we need to purchase on top to hook up the keyless entry? As the S uses a 5-wire Reverse polairity to controls the locks.
- Do I have to use relays? My car never came with factory alarm, can I use existing pins to get the correct signals?
- If the relays were required, how many, and how would I wire them in to get the right outputs for the alarm?

Any diagrams, links, information would be greatly appreciated! The rest of the bits are pretty straight forward.... Just this locking thing that makes me nervous.....

Thanks!

P.S. I'm 2000 S2000 Right Hand Drive.

Peace.

^^^^ This is why I ask ze question!

Some say, yes relay, some say no relay... If you say Yes relay, please tell me how and where.. If you say No relay, please tell me how and where..

I mean I guess I could do it without a relay using a slave cylinder to pull the lock instead... But I want to do it properly!

you need a relay for trunk pop, but all you need to do for door locks is take signal out wires (green & blue) and connect them to the oem wireless box, search its out there, not hard.

Ok gurus of S2k. Please help me!!

I tried doing the setup for the central locking without relay, and it doesn't work.. Here's the story:

I pin pointed the signal wires from the keyless module (14P connector harness as my S is australian delivered). There is two wires that contain a pulse when lock/unlock button is pressed that has a signal.

Unlock - When i hook up my meter, it reads 0V. When the unlock key is pressed on the fob, it pulses to 12V, and returns to 0V. Does this mean this wire is NEGATIVE TRIGGERED?

Lock - Same as above, but when the lock key is pressed on the fob.

My alarm unit's central locking harness consists of 6 wires, I'm assuming to be able to work with different factory central locking modules, Positive, Negative, Positive+Negative, Pneumatic Triggers. Please view the photos below:

I wired the central locking bit to give a NEGATIVE OUTPUT, wired it to the relevant wires on the keyless module. When pressed on the alarm FOB, nothing happens, although I do notice that the signal does change slightly..

So I thought, wtf... So i tried doing the POSITIVE OUTPUT, wired to the relevant wires on the keyless module. When pressed on the alarm FOB, i blew the inline fuse.

Am I missing something here? Or am I not using the right setup for the SIGNAL OUTPUT?

This is the last thing I need to wire up, everything else including remote start/immobilizer bypass is working shcmicko!

First person to help me solve it will recieve a reward paypal $10USD! LOL

Peace.

Nevermind, I worked it out.

FYI, if your S has the 14P you need 2 relays to have it work 100%.

Thanks all, saved myself $200 + $10USD. Will consider writing a DIY one day..

For reference as well, it is in fact a 5-wire locking system and a 451M product from DEI would not require any relays for the install.
