Another new toy for me!
Alpine F#1 PXA-H900. Got it for a hell of a deal.
here are the pics, not so good though, but you'll get the picture.

behind the emblem is a RS232 serial port to connect to PC and microphone connection.

frontal shot of the processor. there is a slight scuff mark on the top right corner though. but still sexy as hell and weighs about 20lbs.

side shot, if youre wondering how come so many RCA outputs, there are 2 for guide(im guessing navigation) and center, 2 for subwoofer, 2 for rear, 6 for the front. front high, front mid, front low.

pictures too dark to see, but there is 1 set of analog inputs, 2 ai-net inputs, 3 optical inputs and 1 13pin din plug for the display.

PXA-H900 and PXA-H701 side by side
thats all for now folks. i just wonder how i am going to be able to get this in and tuned before finals.

... ummm... doesn't this unit tune itself?? It should have come with a little mic to tune itself.
HAHAHHA no, it doesnt tune itself, it is bullshit. there is no such thing as a perfect tune because everyone has different tastes. so therefore, it cant be good for everyone. for someone who does not know how to tune, i do not suggest buying this unit. it might sound worse than with a simple EQ. this unit was not created for the normal market, it was created for the pure audiphiles which is a very niche market.
i was playing with the software yesterday, jesus, so many bands its going to take me long time to tune it. also the fact that i have to use the stupid mouse box thing in the laptop doesnt help either.
you can hide it in the spare tire well. or take the s2k dash out do a custom mount so it doesnt get stolen. the s2k has a lot a space in the dash.
this unit is freaking sexy. sexier than my brax. i catch myself looking at it every so often.
Yeah your right I mixed up the numbers... So yeah your right its going to take you forever to tune that. You should get a tuning program for your laptop and do a mic setup to help tune it so you can watch the band and map it correctly for the speakers your using.
BTW I don't think I ever saw your setup in your S do you have pictures of it?

there is not point in using the mic. the mic is seriously complete BS. even for the newer one, PXI-H990, you need cant tune with the mic. you can only use the mic after you have it tuned to your liking.
i already have the software for it, the alpine PXA-H900 software. i have everything i need already. i just need to install it and the rest of my system.
i have a RTA to see all the freq's then i adjust accordingly so i have no major peaks, then i tune with my ears.
i dont have a setup in my s2k right now. completely stock. not even a radio. the s2k is a somewhat weekend car, when i drive the s2k, i usually drive with the top down and relax with no music on.
the integra, which is my daily driver/competition car, i have my SQ setup in there. since the s2k is a softtop, i am afraid someone can cut my top and unlock the doors and you know the rest. my system is so far has cost me around $3,500, retail worth is about $10g's. i cant risk getting it stolen. next year, i plan to put the system in the s2k and buy a hardtop for it. we will see. cant compete in the same car for 3 years straight.
i will post some pics of my integ setup after im done with it and my stock system in the s2k, hhahaha.

Are you an F#1 dealer?
I will be in the future. I honestly hope to become an F#1 dealer at some point but I need to grow the shop more and learn more long before I can get into that. Someday... right now in my area there's only one F#1 dealer and I want to be the second.
