Default Anyone installed wOOX in their S?

I have seen a few posts in which people discuss the self-amplified Kenwood wOOX but I was wondering if anyone has actually installed one in their S2K.

Just looking for some feedback on your experiences.
Thanks.

i've never heard the woox.

but based on its size and other similar systems i've heard in the past, i would be sure to hear it before spending money on it...

i'd be curious to hear what others have to say who have heard it...

I know for a fact, that its not even half as good as a basslink. If I were to go that route, Id get a basslink, and Im not a big advocate on those. You seriously thinking about throwing in a WOOX???

space, weight, price, are all big concerns for me. I'll look into a basslink. I'm not looking to set off car alarms with this thing, I have an exhaust for that ;-). Just want some nice complimentary sound for my existing system.

If you have a loud exaust.....make sure you can test out the basslink before you buy it....they arent that strong and may have a hard time overcoming your exaust. A nice 8" and an amp isnt that heavy.....if you are that worried about weight, LOSE SOME!

I had the wOOX in my 911 and it worked quite well. I had it mounted on the floor behind the driver's seat and it really did a good job. But all I was looking for was an overall sound enhancement...You could definitely feel the bass, but it was not a thundering bounce down the road. Bang for buck including the ease of installation it was a good choice.

However, I'm not sure how well it would set up in a S2000. I'm afraid that the little guy would have trouble if he were mounted in the trunk....though he might just fit on top of the fuel tank...if you are a brave soul.

Order one from Cruthfield. They have a good return policy so if it doesn't do the job, send it back.....

I have the wOOx installed in the passenger footwell of my S2K. It fits perfectly without the need to secure it in place. The only drawback is a slight loss in legroom. The level of the floormat on the passenger side is about even with the level of the driver side pedals. The installation required removal of the foam attached to the carpet, placing the wOOx in its place and covering it back up with carpet and the floormat.

The end result was a pleasant fill of the lower end, no heart pounding bass, no rattles. I have the stock head unit and now my system sounds like a properly tuned factory system. So if you're looking for something quick, easy, and cheap then this is the route for you. I got mine from the Kenwood outlet here in Atlanta for about $140.

One more bonus: the ladies love the foot massage from the wOOx!!

Yea, the only way I would ever consider a WOOX is if you plan on mounting it IN the cabin. That little guy wont make the trip from the trunk....

If you can return it to crutchfield, pick one up, and if you are not happy, then send it back.
