Default Anyone replaced the stock horn?

I bought my 2000 S2K only a week ago and would like to replace the factory horn. I was looking at the Hella Dual Tone Air Horns and wondered if anyone had them or something similar. I have a friend that put stock Ferrari horns in a MR2 Turbo and they sounded great. Didn't want to drop the $$$ if the Hella's sounded good. Thanks in advance!

I replaced my horns after having a run in with a retarded driver. I realized people cant hear our weak little horn. Now I roll around with these.

Let me just say this is my favorite mod on my car, they are awesome.

I initially bought a set from the same manufacturer for $24, but these are much better, they are louder, have a more deeper tone, and are made of metal.

Really lets people know you are there, and since putting them on, I think I have saved my car from 2 crashes from people drifting into my lanes.

These pictures are of the old one, the new ones are just a bit bigger, and made of metal, where as the old one's where plastic.

I have the dual "Fiamm Hiway Blasters". Makes the car sound like an old Buick.

WOW! I listened to the sample on the link that you gave. I don't think you have to worry about any other retarted drivers...

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks the Honda factory horn sucks!

Thanks for the reply, I will look into...

Yeah its even better in person, you have to hear it.

The best part is that its super simple to install. One power wire that connects right into the fuse box, one ground, and one wire that goes from the relay to the horn socket in the fuse box.

The toughest part is mounting the air horns and compressors.

The first set was easy because the compressor was small, so I mounted it where the stock horn went, the new one's where a bit harder because the compressor was bigger, but its mounted in the same general area.

If you end up getting them and need help, or pictures let me know. I can write you up a quick DIY with very detailed pictures.

Just an update for anyone else that's interested in changing their horn. I ordered a factory Ferrari air horn kit from Algar Ferrari in Philly. They should be here on Monday and I'm going to install them after work. If anyone else is interested, I'll post pics.
