Default Anyone tried this for an iPhone mount?

Hey All,

I'm a recent newbie to the forum with our recently acquired '05 S-2000. Wife gave me a Blitzsafe M-safe integration module to run through the OEM audio. I'm trying to figure out a discreet way to safely mount the iPhone, and found this: http://www.bracketron.com/products/u...-dock-pro-flex. Anyone tried one? Could use the USB outlet in it to power a GPS?

Thinking of installing a second 12VDC accessory outlet on the right side of the console to support the mount.

Thanks,

JBM

I just set my iphone on the open radio door, the hinges keep it from falling out...get a cheap silicone case and it will "stick" to the radio door. I wouldnt want my phone mounted to where i can mess with it anyways, just another distraction!

If the GPS is powered via USB and uses less than 1.5A (per the specs in the link you posted).

Not sure why you think is relevant. Obviously the OP needs/wants the device mounted for access. There are certainly people who use nav apps, ODB apps, Pandora, etc.

I'm open for ideas, and like RusselJolly's suggestion. I think I'll snaking the iPhone cable under the audio head and see if placing the iPhone on the open radio door first to see if I'm comfortable with that arrangement first. Still looking at placing an accessory outlet on the right side of the console to power a GPS.

Check out Modifry... http://www.modifry.com/products/mounts/mdb_acc.htm and maybe this: http://www.quadlockcase.com/collections/products

RAM mounts are great and versatile, also. The X-Grip works really well.

There are many mounts you can use with the Modifry or Panavise bracket (Modifry sells both). Both brackets are way to install and very secure but you'll need to purchase a device mount as well. I use ProClip but wasn't going to suggest it considering that the gooseneck mount in the OP was $35.
