Default anyone used / heard these speakers yet?

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=18520

I'm assuming it's the follow up to the spx-177r's? I want to add a component set and 2 channel amp, so i'm considering these speakers.

If they are comparable to spx-177r's then that's good for me as long as fitment isn't a concern either.

any help is good

I have used these in many cars... I actually like them better than the PRO's ... I highhhly suggest not buying from that site though.

What is wrong with www.onlinecarstereo.com ? I was thinking about purchasing from there. What online retailer is a good one? Crutchfield has prices comparable to B&M stores.

They sell half their stuff refurbed but aren't required to tell you, no warranty, and sometimes just straight used.... Quoting my Alpine rep here , and one customer I had who had purchased a sub there that one voice coil was blown on.

There a reason why some of the sites offer their product 50% to 70% cheaper. It good to save, but sometime it not worth the saving and take that risk.

yes , probably one of the most reputable sites to buy from is crutchfield unfortunently. Reason I say most of those online sites are bogus and there's a catch is because there is... flat out... Most of those sites aren't dealers... meaning they either bought over stock , refurbs, demos, or trade ins. I as a dealer aren't able to sell any of my stock online or they'd cut me off from their lines... sooo not worth it.

^ I am not sure about onlinecarstereo.com, but i have used sonicelectronix.com before with great success. Just because their prices are cheaper does not mean that they are second hand. They just may move more inventory, thus reducing their overhead/stock cost. Only issue I had was their site did not have up-to-date stock information (said stuff was in stock when it was sold out). Just make sure you call and confirm EVERY detail (new product, price, model number, warranty, etc.). Granted the warranties are usually void, as these online stores are probably not authorized dealers, but you do get a store warranty that is just as long as the product warrant in most cases. If it breaks, you send it back to the dealer for replacement instead of going through the vendor, which can get very old very quick when they try and validate the purchase / warranty.

Just my $.02. Online sites are the best priced, and you can find quality products through them if you are willing to take the time to call/inquire.
