Default Ap2 04-05 and 06-07 differences

Hey all,

I’m trying to help a friend out in sourcing an instrument cluster. She has a 2006 model year. After a quick search; i’m seeing that the 04-05 clusters won’t work correctly in an 06-07.

How can i tell the difference between an 04-05 cluster vs an 06-07 cluster when the cluster is off? I can see the difference with the ambient temp. missing in the 04-05 and available in the 06-07 when the cluster is powered on.

The 2006 and 2007 clusters will show the VSA and Triangle on the display visible thru the front glass with a flashlight. No need to power on. VSA was only available 2006 and later.
