Default Ap2 headlight help

I just recently got my ap2 less than 2 weeks and it came with a burnt parking light bulb on the passenger side so I was like hey no big deal I'll just replace the bulb I didn't pay any mind to the normal wattage so I thru in a 55w super bright Philips bulb it fit perfectly, but now a week later and it burnt thru the entire parking light lens on both sides!! Any help on how to fix this without having to buy an expensive set of headlight would be great

No help for you short of buying a new (or junkyard) assembly - you put a 55W bulb in a 35W system. Hopefully the wiring is not also damaged.

Actually that OEM bulb is 4.9w.

The only option is to replace the headlight assembly.

There are 2 AP2 headlight versions--04-05 and 06-09. They differ in the light patterns--especially the upper cutoff line. The earlier AP2s have a distinct "hard" upper cutoff and the later ones have a softer one---its very different. Be sure to match the one you already have. ( you can do a search on here for pix of the three headlight patterns AP1, AP2 V1, and AP2 V2.

Headlight assembly only I'm afraid. Electrical stuff can burn you car to the ground. Be careful. Also, an occasional period would help.

Thanks for the help everyone, I think I'm just gonna send my lights in to euro boutique for them to replace the inserts and add the clear diffusers/R8 LEDs. I wish you were able to just purchase inserts but honda doesn't sell them cause that would fix most of my problem, lol some 5 dollar bulbs lead me to a 1k disaster wish i had an ap1 with 200 dollar lights. I still haven't inspected the harness but even if it is fried i found the connector part number and i can just solder some new wire onto it lol

Not heard of euro botique but checked out their website---looks like they do a lot of neat stuff.

Good luck and post some pix when you get them back---interested in how the LEDs look!
