Audible DCI noise???
Does anybody hear noise from the DCI when you make adjustments?
I hear two or three "oinks" through the speakers when I manually adjust the volume (with the dash controls), and when the speed-sensing volume makes adjustments. Sometimes its two, usually it's three.
I think I only hear it with AM sources (but I haven't experimented fully), and seems to be most pronounced at frequencies in the 600's (our local baseball teams are on 610 AM and 680 AM.)
The noise is louder when the AM reception is worse (e.g. tunnel, underpass).
Oops...I guess one thing to try is whether it is dash control/DCI-dependent, or if the same noise is also heard when I use the remote to make changes. I'll have to dig that out of the footwell.
Anyway, I don't know if the noise is typical, or a grounding issue I need to deal with, or something else.

I don't get any oinking either... just the beeps from the HU. I haven't read the instructions yet, so I have no clue how to turn it off yet. You've probably got a slightly lose connection somewhere. Is it all Dash functions or is it just certain ones (then you can pinpoint which wire is lose). Or maybe the DCI unit itself is loose.

This cracked me up. You and Willie should see if you have the same HU?
