I think that partially depends on where you plan on putting it? Are you going to try to get them under your seat(s)? In the along the wall? Replace the spare tire and put a rack? I had a 4 channel JL amp that did the trick.

Well the amp would be based on the ohm value of your sub, if it's 4 ohms then a 4 channel amp would work. You would bridge channels 2 & 3 for your sub, most 4 channel amps are only 4 ohm stable when bridged. If your sub is 2 ohms then I would recommend JL AUDIO XD500/3v2 amp. It's a 3 channel amp that is stable down to 2 ohms for the sub.

Or you could get separate amps for the Polks and a mono amp for your sub.

I have the same head unit and it works pretty good.

Make sure you put at least 400w-500w into that type-r. I have the 10" type-r and it really slams in a Darkside sub V2 enclosure.

Amp will be mounted where the spare tire usually goes. Sub is 1000w 4 ohm. I still have no idea what amp to get for it.

I use a 15-20 year old rf punch amp for my sub so I cant really comment on the new stuff out but the hifonics line at sonic electronics seems to be priced competitively with decent reviews.
