Default Aura Bass Shaker Install

Im planning to buy a pair of aura bass shakers but the problem is i dont know how to install them. I dont want to hire someone to do it because i really want to learn myself. I checked the site on the install and im still confused on the how to's. I was planning to hook them up with my alpine 9827 and put them behind my seats. Can anyone give me the how to's it would be of great help. I Dont know crap about wiring etc. Thanks

just installed a pair last night. real easy, i just put them behind the seats and held them in place with a short screw into the carpet. the back of the seat rests against them so they dont need much more to anchor them down. ran some plain old speaker wire under the center console to the back of the radio. either solder or use a connecter to connect to the rear speaker hookup. check out ricks2k.com for pics of how to remove center console.

So i would have to remove the seats and center console to get to the back of my headunit and hide my wires. Wait... dont i have to take out the leather pad thing under the headunit thats by my right knee correct? Buy some speaker wires and use a connecter to connect the shaker to my headunit. Im sure i will be in some trouble doing this but wth, ill give it a shot.

the seats are really easy to remove, just four bolts, but be very carefull with the feet. THEY WILL SCRATCH EVERYTHING THEY TOUCH. also the drivers seat has a wire that you need to disconnect under it. the center console is just snapped on, pull firmly but careful not to break plastic. forgot to mention, when you go to ricks2k.com click on installation then shift boot installation to see how to remove center console. lucidauto.com has pics showing how to remove the head unit. i took my time being very careful not to break or scratch anything and it took about 1.5 hrs. was my first time taking this stuff apart, so i was learning as i went.

Easy install... use the seatback map pockets to hold the shakers against the seat.

Shakers have an integral low pass filter inside, so you simply hook them up to standard speaker outputs.

I currently have mine in the seat back map pockets.

Has anyone tried them in both spots -- under the seat and in the map pockets? Which place do they work best?

The instructions say to bolt them down to something solid, but I don't want to go to the trouble to remove the seats if they will not sound/feel better (or at least, just as good). Right now, they "feel" about the same as having an 8-10" speaker directly behind the seat.

Also, if I fade all the way to my shakers, I can actually hear some of the midrange coming through audibly. I didn't think this was possible with the technology... Does anyone else's do this?

I wish I could be more help on this question. Mine are Pros that are attached to the seat bottoms but they were installed at a car stereo shop. I know the installer had to remove some brackets from underneath one or both seats but I've never peeked under there to see exactly what he did.

unfortunately i haven't gotten mine hooked up yet even though i have installed the wiring (waiting to get new head unit). i didn't put them in the map pockets because to make them fit they stretched the pockets too much. maybe mine are bigger because they are the pros. i tucked mine behind the seat close to the center console under the leather from the console that wraps aroung behind the seats. the seats rest against the front of the shaker so they will shake the seats and the console. like i said though, havent hooked them up yet.
