Autoloc one touch install... help!!!!!!!
I did the passenger window fine but when I installed the unit on the convertable top it only works when you put the top up. I still have the hold the button down when I want to put the top down. What is causing this? Thanks for any help!!

I'm assumming you installed it in the console and connected to the ROOF switch wires? I would not recommend that method of installation.
The AutoLoc module needs to be installed directly in line with the motor it is controlling, otherwise it cannot sense when the motor stalls. When wired to the ROOF switch, the AutoLoc module only sees a relay in the Convertible Top Module, so it can't sense when the motor stops running. If it can't sense stalling, it won't turn off power immediately, and the motor will continue to receive power until either the motor overheat circuit kicks in (if there is one) or the convertible top module overload kicks in. This is only a few seconds, but for those few seconds the motor is seriously overloaded.
Perhaps the motors are so rugged they will withstand this abuse for years to come, but I wouldn't do it on my car. The proper way to use this module on the roof is to either use two modules (one for each top motor) or try to run the top motors in parallel and use one AutoLoc. Either way it's a lot of wiring behind the passenger dash where the motor wires are.
No offense meant, but looking at your other posts, perhaps you need to invest in a qualified auto installer.

thanks but i got it to work right. i cut the wrong red/black wire... oops. however for some reason the passenger window sounds like its dying and it doesnt go up all the way... dies out about a tiny bit before it gets to the top... it doesnt make THAT much if a difference but im afraid water might leak. how do i correct this??

To do it "right" you need two Auto-loc modules. There are 2 motors for the convertible top and they are controlled through separate relays and get power from separate fuses. All the wires are behind the passenger dash cover (that's where the Convertible Top module is). First remove the passenger dash access cover and locate the convertible top module. Here's a web page with some pictures that might help you to locate the convertible top module:
http://www.baustnet.com/honda/mods/shift/install.htm
The module with the blue sticker is the one you want. Locate all the wires listed below on that module.
Left motor:
+12v wire - gray (fuse 55)
gnd wire - black (any one)
Open wire - red/blue
close wire - red
right motor:
+12v gray/red (fuse 52)
gnd wire - black (any one)
open wire - red/white
close wire - light green/red
It might be possible to splice the wiring together and run both motors in parallel and only use one Auto-loc unit, and hopefully the fuses won't blow when it powers both motors. I bet this will work, but I've not tried it:
Connect the Auto-loc red wire to BOTH +12v feed wires (gray and gray/red). T-tap them, do not cut the gray and gray/red.
Connect the Auto-loc black wire to TWO of the black wires on the convertible top module. Another T-tap. (or connect to another good ground)
Cut all the open and close wires (listed above) so you have enough wire length to splice to them.
Insulate the ends of the just-cut red/white and light green/red wires that connect to the convertible top module (don't need them).
Connect the brown Auto-loc wire to the red wire (convertible top module side).
Connect the Auto-loc white wire to the red/blue wire (convertible top module side).
Connect the Auto-loc green wire to BOTH the red and light green/red wires that go to the motors (into the wiring harness)
Connect the Auto-loc blue wire to BOTH the red/blue and red/white wires that go to the motors (into the wiring harness)
I don't know if you need to cut the red jumper or not. Try with it cut first, and if the top stops before it's all the way up or down, splice it back together again.

Modifry:
If you think there really needs to be 2 modules to be safe, where would those get installed? Under the dash where your instructions suggested to splice the one module to both or somewhere else. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And btw, I did your garage door opener mod and love it! Thanks!
