Default B-Quiet extreme

So in addition to a few other projects I finished today I finally got around to installing the B-Quiet Xtreme sound insulation material I purchased awhile back. All I can say is wow...I insulated the inner doors and the door panels, and I cannot recommend this stuff enough. If you have the money im sure Dynamat would be the same if not a little better, but wow. Where I used to have to turn the Alpine up to 20 or 21 for decent volume, it is now loud and clear at 16/17 (less distortion to save your speakers). It brought out lows and mids that I had never heard with the stock speakers, and added a punch to the bass that sounds like an aftermarket set of components. I cant wait to install my amp and Focal components now. For anyone looking for a good bang for your buck mod for your stereo, this is it!

Where did you purchase that material, and how does it compare in price to Dynamat?

Already bought Dynamat here, so it's too late for me. But this could be helpful for others...

Glad to hear the positive results. I still need to install mine.

Go to B-Quiet
As for price comparison:
B-quiet Extreme - $84.99 for 50sq ft
Dynamat- $194.99 for 36sq ft !
B-Quiet now sells an upgrade to the Extreme called B-Quiet Ultimate which sells for $119 for 50 sq feet.

You really cant beat the performance and price of this stuff! If you are in a hurry though, and need your install ASAP then you might as well go out and buy the dynamat because it was around 11-12 days before i received my shipment.

I think If I were to do it again I would go with B-Quiet. I just installed dynamat, I will post pics after I install the rest of the systes. I will say that I am very suprised with the results of dynamat. There is a lot less noise from the rear of the car. I would only chose B-Quiet because of the way it is applied, give a much cleaner look than pieces of dynamat everywhere.

B-Quiet is applied just as dynamat is, I believe. It comes in a long roll with an adhesive backing.

Dynamat used to make a paint-on material as well, IIRC. Haven't seen it in years.

if you want to use paint on try second skin.

I went with the sludge, damplifier pro on top and overkill to top it all. LOL it is very overkill and it made such a significant different. However, you gotta apply the dynamat correctly. Make sure the tar is 100% in contact with the metal and leave no bubbles behind. Use a roller and roll it well.

I used Cascade V-Max and it made a substantial difference - money worth spending IMO - and very minor weight gain
