Because I hate legroom that much... [Pics]
To solve any voltage problems you might have I would start with a cap with the right amount of farads to deal with the power your amps are putting out, this really is a bandage to your problem which is the fact that you're pulling more amperage thourgh your alternater than what it was designed for. The fix the atlernater you would have to take to an alternater and have to upgraded to deal with your new amperage level or you could have it done up to deal with more amperage than that to leave room for future needs.

i must have missed this one somewhere...

not to mention, what RMS power demands are you pulling b0mberman? i thought modifry's study on caps showed that only minimal gains were to be had until you hit the 1000Wrms or better range...

Sorry, new to posting here haven't figured out how to link quotes with my posts until today. I got it from this statement and then b0mbrman asked how to solve the problem.

I would put the JL with heat sinks up. It may work in its current config. - but I would not want to risk early thermal related component failure.

or least mount it vertically so that the heat is allowed to flow thru the channels thru the process of convection...heat rises remember?

, and nice choice of head unit, the Clarion!!
