Here are the two new additions that arrived today.

The first is a SoundStream Van Gogh 500.4.

The second is a set of Focal 136K's.

I will be using the SoundStream Van Gogh 500.4 to power my front Focal Utopia 165W component speaker and the Focal Poly-K's 136K which will be mounted in some of Mark's S-pods. The Van Gogh 500.4 delivers 125watts RMS x 4 @ 4ohms which should be great for the Focals.

Sorry these are so dark. I will try and get some better pictures of the amp in natural light because it is a beautiful piece.

Stay tuned another addition will arrive on Monday and I will post pictures that evening.

Dang Jim, I forgot how big that amp is. I should have remembered, since all soundstream gear is big. Looks great. Keep us posted.

I ran the amp for four hours during my trip to Cleveland and back from Clevend the the Ohio Community Mid-Winter meet. Here are my impression so far.

First I have not adjusted any of the settings on the amp.

This amp is amazing. It drives my Focal 165W's very well. The amp delivers very clear crisp sound which is how I like it. I can't wait to adjust all the settings to really make it rock. The amp does not run very hot at all. After a two hour drive down, with the top down at highway speed (this means I had the volume up) the amp was barely warm. Granted it was 50 something degrees outside.

Another satisfied Soundstream customer. Like I said, I have never EVER been let down by a soundstream product. Good choice!

thanks Jim for the report... while we all trust Dave, it's nice to have some experienced neutral backup for his Soundstream pimping...

i'll definitely keep these amps in mind for the future.

Just for clarification, all products I recommend I have 1st hand experience with. If not in my car, then a car I installed it into. I would never recommend something I didnt know would perform.
