Default Best Buy?

I'm not sure I am totally willing/able to install HCU, amp and speakers myself in 2000 model -- would you trust your baby to Best Buy?

In short....HELL NO. You have a bunch of kids doing the install usually. They won't take nearly the care or the caution that I would. Plus they don't have the gear to make the dash controls work.

NO!!!! NEVER!

It's a very easy install, really. A drunk monkey could do it.

Would running wire be the most difficult part? I have looked at darkknight's information and can do that (I think).

I do have all winter...

What are other major pinch points I would run into?

Thanks!

Yep, running the wire is the hardest part. In particular, running the speaker wire through the grommets to the doors. After that, the rest is cake.

Use your $500 gift card to get some of your new gear. Then just use the DIY threads to do the install. I replaced HU, door speakers, added rear panel speakers, Ipod in glove box, DCI, and amp in trunk using the info here. I would take the time to solder all connections except maybe the speed control wire on the DCI.

Took me a couple of weekends working at a leisurely pace.
