I LOVE my Garmin iQue 3600. It's a palm-powered PDA with a built-in GPS. Fantastic little gadget that I can take anywhere.

Just get the new Nextel phone. Has built in GPS and you can download the Navagation software for it. It even tells you to turn left or right in 900 feet etc.....

Nextel phones look like crap but they are the first ones to have GPS for personal use.

I have a co-worker (in Chicago) that has a Garmin Street Pilot III and loves it. One cool feature is that it is totaly portable (as well as hand held) from car to car (including rentals) and has a PC interface. There are also no service fees.

Check it out .

Worth a look.
