Default Best way to play my ipod?

As title states...

EDIT: I have the stock head unit and am not interested in changing it, so any ideas would be appreciated.

Get one of those FM transmitters that you plug into the accessories power port and you plug the ipod into the FM thing. This will allow you to play it through the FM stereo.

Those things generally suck.

What brand is the head unit?

MIleage with those FM units varies - but generally poor.

I like and use the Dension Ice Link...relatively simple install into back of the HU - CD Aux port. Available on line or at Best Buy.

The Ice Link charges and plays iPod...interface also allows for control of the iPod from HU and Dash Interface. Pretty good solution with keeping the OEM Head Unit.

How on earth do you get it in the back of the stock head unit?

I see. I've seen some say it's an Alpine unit.

There are inputs in the back of the HU for a CD changer. You can pull the HU out and get access to the rear to plug lines in. You may need some sort of adaptor harness.

Denison makes an adapter that plugs into the CD-Changer plug in the back of your stock HU. Costs about $200 I think. Seek and volume can be controlled from the hu but playlist selection and the like must be controlled from teh ipod.

what happens with wires going into the back of the HU? Where do they go?

Is it possible to remove the HU ourselves?
