Blew a cap in an amp
I have a Hifonics class D amp that recently blew a cap in it for no reason that I can think of, just went *poof* as I was listening to music at a low volume.
Luckily I had a backup class D Hifonics amp to replace it (4 years old and still going strong!).
Just wondering what to do with the messed up amp? I believe it was only about $250. Should I ebay it? Take it to the dump? It blew the cap just outside of the limited 90 day warranty (of course).

there are a couple of web sites that you can ship to that willl fix your amp at a price.
i was wondering whats the model of the amp?
bc i do have a Hifonics class D also and the brackets are all broken, if you decide to throw it away let me know the model first!

According to Hifonics website, as long as you bought it from one of their authorized dealers and you have a receipt, you have a 1 year limited warranty. http://www.hifonics.com/Hifonics_Support_FAQ.html
